Zara

As Head of Design at Sun Tekstile’s Coruña hub, I led a team of six designers in developing womenswear collections for Zara, Mango, and Bershka, working directly with Inditex’s buying and design teams. This role placed me at the heart of one of fashion’s fastest and most demanding supply chains, where speed, precision, and trend fluency were essential.

Key Contributions:

Team leadership: Directed and mentored a multidisciplinary design team, overseeing daily creative output and ensuring alignment with brand-specific DNA for Zara’s global audience.

Zara-focused development: Drove concept-to-sample execution for Zara's weekly drops—balancing innovation with deep commercial insight. Created capsules tailored for quick turnaround and high-volume sell-through.

Workflow optimization: Streamlined the studio’s workflow, increasing efficiency in fabric selection, sampling, and approvals. Strengthened the link between design, tech, and production to shorten lead times without sacrificing quality.

Client collaboration: Acted as the primary creative liaison with Zara’s in-house teams in Arteixo—participating in fit sessions, presenting design proposals, and responding to rapid seasonal trend changes.

Material innovation: Identified fabric and trim solutions to meet Zara’s aesthetic and pricing targets, while pushing forward seasonal updates and testing elevated finishings.

This role gave me hands-on experience inside Zara’s hyper-agile supply model, sharpening my skills in fast fashion design, team coordination, and high-volume trend application at a global level.
